This Windows Registry Editor is fast, but it's not the friendliest and the very limited demo makes it hard to fully test. Quick Registry Cleaner's small, crowded multitabbed interface can't be maximized for easier use. The small font and dialog-sized window makes it very difficult to see more than a few items at a time. The program's Help function failed to offer a manual or link to an online document, so novice users might have to give up before getting started.
Operating Quick Registry Cleaner isn't difficult for experienced users. Use the Settings tab to select the Registry areas to scan. Scanning is enabled with a single click, and can be as easily stopped during midscan. Quick Registry Cleaner lives up to its name--this tool's scan is faster than normal. Problem entries are listed along with a short description of the trouble. Cleaning is quickly set with a click, but the demo is limited to a mere 10 items total. That's not near enough for an adequate test.
The Window Startup program manager and clean disk functions are disabled in the demo. The only advantage we found to this application is the slight speed improvement, but with the extensive trial limitations, that just isn't enough to recommend it.
