Publisher's description
From Rob Giseburt :The Q6 Blend Fixer is an Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) startup file that fixes a few "glitches" in PDFs made from Quark XPress 6.x with Acrobat(R) Distiller.
Features:
- Makes Blends made from Quark Xpress 6.1 and 6.5 into "smooth blends," which will make blends as smooth and banding-free as your RIP or printer is capable.
- Supports spot colors. Using the Q6 Blend Fixer, you can make a blend to and from any combination of spot and process colors. (Note: RGB color is not yet supported. Only Spot and CMYK.)
- Spots will not break up into process. Even when blending to a process color.
- Tints are fully supported. (Make a blend from 10% of a color to 90% of the same color, or 10% of one color to 90% of another color. It will just work.)
- Blending a spot to white makes a 0% tint automatically.
- Blending a spot to process any tint of Black (or Cyan, Magenta, or Yellow) will not add any of the other three colors.
- Eliminates the need to use Device-N to maintain spot colors for blends. However, Device-N is supported. (Note: Device-N may still be needed for certain images, such as duotones.)
- Will not effect or disturb output from other programs.
