From GLEG :The purpose of ProtoVer SSL test suite is to provide an effective and cost affordable solution for evaluation of security and stability of SSL 3.0 server protocol implementations. ProtoVer SSL test suite is written in pure Python and provided with full source code. The source code allows you to write your own tests using ProtoVer's testing engine or change the existing tests to satisfy your needs. The test suite has support for three simple and easy-to-use user interfaces: command-line (CLI), GUI interface and Remote Server Interface (RSI). The multi-threaded nature of GUI and RSI interfaces allows you to run several testing sessions at once. The version 1.0 of ProtoVer SSL test suite is able to generate more than 157000 individual test cases with the help of 5 test modules. The test suite finds bugs in most SSL implementations, including OpenSSL.
