Version: PromoSoft 1.32
"Life saver for a shareware developer."
Pros: As a shareware developer, I have to put a lot of efforts into software promotion every month. I usually submit to 400-500 software archives. It makes me very tired and nervous, even PAD technology could't solve this problem.
Some time ago I've been using AddSoft(which is also an automated software), but the author stopped supporting it several years ago. Finally I found PromoSoft and since then it became my valuable business partner. I don't have to waste my time submitting my software, now it's a question of one click for me.
The technical support is absolutely brilliant. Once I had any problems using the software, I got clear and fast answers from the developer, so I'm always sure what to do. I don't know about you, but it's very important for me, especially when using this kind of software.
It's a very professional and well-made software which is very highly recommended to every shareware developer.
Cons: The software is not yet supporting a submission queue, so you have to submit your products one by one.

Version: PromoSoft 1.32
"Lacking in critical functionality. Tech Support is virually non-existant."
Pros: Makes a reasonable general attempt at automating a simultaneous upload of a software submission to multiple website.
Cons: Promosoft is currently unable to support pad files that are located on https websites as opposed to http sites. Promosoft WON'T let me specify an https address in the first place, insisting on a http address.
Navigating to my site via any browser by Promosoft's support via entering http works because there is redirect code. But Promosoft cannot handle redirect code and bombs. Clearly, Promosoft never even tested for this scenerio.
Promosoft's technical support completely fell short. They took over a month to respond and the response dismissively avoided the problem by blamining someone else: "Try e-mailing the company you bought it from, it's nothing to do with me." Just to be thorough, I contacted the vendor shareit.com, but THEY don't handle technical issues and redirected me to Promosoft.
But to me the real point is that the problem I'm having clearly has NOTHING to with anything other than the Promosoft's software itself. And I simply do not believe Promosoft's developer didn't clearly understand this in the first place. He was just trying to ignore the problem and in effect tell me, "tough luck for you, I'm not willing to do anything about it."
Promosoft's support was completely lacking and unprofessional. It is clear this program and company consists of one one person who's commitment to his product is seriously lacking.
Until and if the author gets his act together, avoid this amateurish product and the irresponsible technical support that's provided.
