Converts avi, mpg, vob, asf, wmv, mp4, ogm and all video formats that have a DirectShow based codec to AVI and Windows Media Video formats. Load multiple formats and convert to a single output format. If you can play the video file using 'Windows Media Player', you can convert it using Prism. Supports all of the popular multimedia devices. Preview original files and output results before converting. Add video files directly from DVDs. Set compression/encoder rates of output files. Set resolution and frame rate of output files. Set a specific size of output files. Conversion to AVI and WMV continues to be free after 14 days.

"Best among those I've found, HOWEVER...."
Pros: Overall, it's the best software I've come across. It is easy to use, seldom lag, and problem-free.
Cons: It isn't free. Nothing comes free. Sigh.

Pros: It's really easy to use. You don't need a lot of video or conversion experience to get the most from this product.
Cons: It takes some time for the conversion to take place depending on the size of the file
Summary: The product is as easy as opening a file, selecting an output folder and format. I would hope people know the different types of output they want. There isn't a lot of explanation as to what they are.

"Converts video for ipod, iphone, xbox & rips dvds"
Pros: This is a powerful video converter that allowed me to share videos with my friends on their cell phones, iphones, ipods and my kids to watch on their xbox 360s. I even ripped a video to dvd to send home so Grandma could see our videos.
Cons: I expected the price to be higher for such a versatile video software program.
Summary: Prism did everything it said it would and more. I highly recommend it to all my friends.

"It does the job quickly and is easy to use."
Pros: It does the job quickly. It does not use a bulky watermark on your videos--to remind you, that their product is being used.
Cons: I was all set to buy this converter. I decided not to when playing back one of my converted videos, the sound disappeared half way through. The copy I had did not let you convert to wmv files after 14 days for free.
Summary: The trial period is too short in order to decide on a full purchase.
