Publisher's description
From aSwIt Srl: Odbc, Print for DOS/Windows :Printfil allows character based appications (DOS-Windows-Unix-Linux) to print to any Windows printer, including USB, network printers, faxmodems and PDF writers. It can also capture LPT out and redirect the jobs, even if a printer is physically connected to the port. Once configured, it will allows you to preview printing, include logos and background images, send the jobs via fax, use special fonts, colorize the text, export in PDF format.
Version 5.1 when a PDF file is created without user intervention, now you can specify its name and path, by the optional CFG file. If you don't specify this data, the PDF file will be named as the TXT one, just like in the previous versions. By the optional CFG file, now you can choose to automatically open a PDF file created without user intervention inside the default PDF reader (Acrobat Reader or others) installed in the client PC. Practically, you can use Acrobat Reader as an alternative to the Printfil's preview.

Version: Printfil 5.1
"Continual Pop-up Screen pest"
Pros: None
Cons: It failed to work. This program set a pop-up message to my screen every 15 to 20 minutes asking me to purchase the product, when I was doing other things not related to printing. In recent memory I have not had this experience with any other "try before you buy" program. This hassling
makes it not worth the trouble to even try this product for one day--what less 30 days. Furthermore, this utility product is priced more than double what it should cost. In a short time, I have truly come
to hate this application. It was a relief
to uninstall it.
