The PrimeBase SDK includes all available PrimeBase Application Program Interfaces (APIs) with source code examples.

The PrimeBase SDK includes the following:

  • The PrimeBase Interface (PBI or PBAPI)

    This is a highly efficient interface for database client software. The PBAPI is based on standard DBMS interface APIs and is similar to the APIs used to connect natively to Sybase or Oracle.
  • The PrimeBase Item Stream Interface (PBISI)

    This is an optional interface based on the CL1 or old Apple DAM interface.
  • The PrimeBase Native Interface (PBNI)

    This is an interface used by native extensions to the PrimeBase Virtual Machine.
