"Background bandwidth usage"

Pros
Gives users more options than "draft" or "fast draft" when trying to save ink.
Cons
For some reason PretonClient.exe uses internet bandwidth while an active process (XP Pro). I have satellite internet and monitor Mb usage closely. For some reason there are small amounts of bytes being received and sent while this process is active (task manager). When process is killed, mysterious bandwidth "dribbling" stops.

Windows XP pro seems to work better than in Vista or Windows 7 which sometime prompt me twice for the same thing, i.e. ink saver level.
Some other time will not print at all.Summary

Doesn't clog up the system running in the background as it monitors your use of the printer and helps save ink at every instance.
Shows how much ink you saved on a task-by-task manual choice of saving levels.

Confusing settings that show SAVE or PROTECT and it's difficult to know what that means. It could use better definition of settings and how they affect any given task.
Summary
I use this now every day and only rarely need to switch it off and work normally. It has saved a lot of wasted ink as well as my recommended use of Multi-use paper which absorbs less ink than the cheap copy paper, and therefore helps further with the economy on ink.
Given that my version of Preton was the free one, I think that represents infinitely good value. It'll be in use on my Windows 7 (64 bit) machine for a long time to come. -

I used to be at the Office Supply Store every 3 weeks for ink. Now I go every 2 months. I am INCREDIBLY HAPPY with this program! I tell as many people as possible, because ink cost are ridiculous! I like how I can control the print settings.
Cons
There are NONE. It is worth every dime for what you will save. Tech Suport was great too when I had to transfer my license between machines-with a quick response!
Summary
I was introduced to the program by the NeatNet tricks email newsletter. Between my ink savings and the blessing of being recommended to what I consider the perfect ink saving program-I am a VERY Happy Camper!

I've been using this software for over a year now and I can certainly say I buy less ink cartridges and saved few hundred of dollars. Had no problem installing it and didn't face any problems using it. Highly recommended.

"Unable to uninstall-Now I can't print!"

Problems printing after install. Tried to uninstall, it didn't complete. Now I get blank pages when I try to print.
Can't re-install printer drivers. (HP has no support for out of warranty printers)
