PreEmpt leads a new category of computer security called Desktop Intrusion Prevention. Using an Adaptive Desktop Defense technology PreEmpt fundamentally changes the way Windows computers are secured. By blocking the underlying security vulnerabilities in Windows itself, PreEmpt closes the openings that attackers use to damage and hijack your computer. Traditional anti-virus and anti-spyware tools are focused on detecting and clean up your PC after the damage has been done and your computer is hopelessly infected. PreEmpt prevents installed spyware and malware from being able to exploit your computer.

Version: PreEmpt 2.0.0.81
"It's simple and easy to use that seems to really work"
Pros: Its a simple and basic program that keeps hackers from your computer. There has been some instances in the past where people has had illegal docomuents stored on thier computers from outside hackers and didn't even know it. This scared me enough to try this program. I have had it for 2 months and it works great. It keeps track of all event logs that PreEmpt had to block or protect me from. Not to scare you, but in the 2 months time there was 20 event logs where PreEmpt had to protect my computer, it also tells you the date and time protected.
Cons: It will not tell you who or what you were protected from, it just comes up exploit blocked. It would be nice to have a IP adrress identifier to go with this so you can turn these people in. There are some malware & trojan protection with this, but was last updated in 2005, so don't depend on this part of it.
