For creating karaoke tracks, PowerKaraoke Plus offers almost everything you need. The mostly self-explanatory interface is made up of three panels. The soundtrack panel displays the waveform of your song along with lyric markers. The editing window lets you edit and change lyrics, not the music file. The preview window shows how the lyrics will play out on the screen when it's time for a performance. In full-screen mode, the included player turns your PC monitor into a karaoke machine. PowerKaraoke Plus supports MP3 and WAV files, but because you can't edit the music file beyond a minimal vocal-remover filter, you'll want to start with an instrumental version of the song. The program also supports KAR (MIDI karaoke) files. We like the synchronization feature that lets you hit the spacebar to mark when to sing a particular word, as well as the ability to correct word placement later in the waveform pane. We also liked the ability to import lyrics from a text document rather than having to type them in. Though you might find better programs for handling certain parts of the process, PowerKaraoke Plus works nicely as an all-in-one package for beginners.Publisher's Description

Summary
I liked this program very much -- I was able to create CD+G karaoke from many KAR files that I own. The interface is very intuitive. Also I had very good experience with Powerkaraoke support.
