It doesn't have any extraordinary features, but this toolbar can't even seem to get the basics right. Potato Stair Climber looks like your average toolbar, with a search tool, radio, weather display, and RSS feed. However, its features functionality are hit and miss.
The weather display was easy to set and worked well. It's easy to look for a location with a simple search and it pulled up our test destinations without a hitch. The RSS feed had a single message from the publisher, but you couldn't add your own feeds, so it was pretty useless. Oddly, the radio was shown twice on the toolbar. The stations played, and you could easily add others, but the tiny volume slider didn't work. You can customize the components under Toolbar Options, but there are not check boxes for all of them (only the RSS field, search term highlighter, and radio player were listed). The weather display didn't have a box, but there was a checked box with no label. Deselecting the box immediately caused the toolbar and browser to lock up.
That was the final straw with this inconsistent toolbar and, free or not, Potato Stair Climber is no bargain. Skip it and save yourself some aggravation, if not some money.
