Portable applications seem to be all the rage right now and rightfully so. With them, you can launch your own, customized applications from any computer. Firefox Portable brings that freedom to the Firefox browser.
Firefox Portable lets you take your very own customized version of Firefox with you for use on-the-go. The application launches from any kind of USB file sharing device. We saved the program to our thumbdrive and immediately launched Firefox. From there, we customized it by adding new tools and bookmarks. Using the password manager, we also saved our passwords. When we ejected our thumbdrive and plugged it into a different computer, we were able to launch Firefox, complete with all of our customizations, and browse the Web as usual.
If you keep a lot of bookmarks and passwords, and want to take them wherever you go, this is the freeware tool for you. We highly recommend Firefox Portable for all user levels.

It has some specially-selected optimizations to make it perform faster and extend the life of your USB key as well as a specialized launcher that will allow most of your favorite extensions to work as you switch computers. It will also work from a CDRW drive (in packet mode), ZIP drives, external hard drives, some MP3 players, flash RAM cards and more (Note: It will not run from read-only media like a CD-R, but Portable Firefox Live will).

Version: Portable Firefox 1.5.0.1
"taking alittle bit of your computer with you..."
Pros: (Note: The author of Portable firefox has 1.5.0.3 on his website, Portableapps.com)
Sadly not every Windows computer out there has an IE alternative. Only about 10%. But ther is hope yet, for if you have a USB drive or an Ipod it's possible for you to take Firefox with you as Go.

What does this offer you? The ability to take Mozilla easy-to-use, secure and powerful browser with you where-ever there is a USB port. And so far i've encountered no problems with it on my USB. So if your on the go but can't bring your desktop with you Portable Firefox is there to help.
