It's an effective pop-up killer, but Popup Terminator Lite seems to have trouble accurately measuring its success. The program doesn't get off to a very good start with its crude UI, and if that doesn't put potential users off, the stingy three-day trial just might.

Those who do decide to hang on will find that Popup Terminator Lite effectively kills a wide range of pop-up ads, including those annoying ones that launch new browser windows. It's also supposed to keep a running total of ads it's blocked, but the system tray display wasn't accurate in our tests. Even after visiting a site riddled with pop-ups, the tally never budged, although the ads were completely blocked.

Popup Terminator Lite needs a bit more tweaking, and maybe a little design work, to compete against its numerous competitors. It works for the most part, but with so many fully effective programs out there, it's just not a contender in our book.
