Add-ons to the Firefox Web browser have consistently made the Web a friendlier, more useful place. This extension offers several useful features for working with text on a Web page, all of which become accessible with a simple right click of the mouse after installation. Links listed on a page can be opened in a new window or bookmarked with a right click. Text can be e-mailed, translated, or saved to a file on a local hard drive. A few of the features seem a bit cumbersome to be wholly useful--saving a snippet of text into a file required four separate clicks, for example. However, Plain Text to Link adds several useful shortcuts for navigating and manipulating Web text, and we recommend it to active Firefox users.

Plain Text To Link is a Firefox extension that allows to highlight plain text in a HTML page and handles it with a right click. Functions: Open it if it's a link in window or tab or bookmark it. Search a text it in Google Groups or translate it from English. Send an email if it's an email address. Send selected text to a file for later viewing or add it to a previously created PTTL file. In this way you can archive important text collected in Internet without everytime save a Web page.

You can specify a default open action and a default save directory in the PTTL options menu and use the Open with PTTL and save with PTTL functions in a more convenient way. You can select the default save file format (.txt, .doc, .nfo) and, through the keyboard shortcuts, open link, and save files it's quicker. Version 1.5.20061126 includes unspecified updates.
