From Google:Transfer, find, organize, edit, print, and share images, all with this easy-to-use product. Watch Picasa automatically organize all your pictures into elegant albums by date. Having all your photos in one place means no more time wasted searching for folders or files. The program works with JPEG, GIF, BMP, PSD, and movie files and is compatible with most digital cameras; it detects your USB driver and imports pictures into albums. Editing tools include cropping (standard or custom), removal of red-eye, and enhancing--even switching from color to black and white. Create slide shows set to your MP3s. Integration with Picasa's free Hello instant picture-sharing software lets you share hundreds of photos in seconds and chat in real time. Version: Picasa 2.2
Pros: Faster than Thumbs Plus and Adobe Bridge, simple to use for most people. Automatically finds and categories photos by date which is really nice.
Cons: For experts, the problem is that it's not very easy to see WHERE the photos are physically located. There is no "tree view" option! All the folders are listed in one big clump!

Version: Picasa 2.2
"Simple and easy to use, which makes is great for most users"
Pros: The GUI is clean and efficient and it quickly orgqanized and displays all images catalogued. I actually see my Picasa thumbnails load faster compared to how Windows Explorer displays thumbnails for the files. It's very easy to use and you don't have to be a photoshop wizard to clean up your photos with Picasa
Cons: More advanced users may be looking for more tools such as in Adobe Photoshop. The red eye correction tool is frustrating to use since you need to make your area selection from the full screen view since you are unable to zoom in on the person's actual eye. Most of its "advanced" tools are severely limited and awkward to use. Saving options aren't too clear and you don't have too much control over how the image is sized or the compression ratio for JPEG files.

Version: Picasa 2.2
Pros: one compelete solution for image and even media management. automatically organize photo or files into certain album styles when you view them, import photo from your camera or other disk drive. share it instantly emailing feature or online with all of your friends. and of course, you can easily transfer them into your CD/DVD drive. with basic but essential photo enhancing feature like auto fix, RGB level, slideshows, etc. with all that feature, this app from google surely made it to the top of the image management category.
Cons: software for dummies. lacks of advanced feature makes this photo organzing app a big reason people don't quite use or known this piece of software. compare to faststone image viewer it fall behind in system resource saving, easy of use, and dozens of additional/neat feature. did i forgot to tell you it has some minor but quite annoying flaws?

Version: Picasa 2.2
"Thanks to Google for another excellent freeware"
Pros: If you want fast and easy picture editing specially meant for presentations, office or birthday or any occassions (collage effects, tiles etc...). Then this is the tool for you. If you are the hardcore graphics artist, then better find adobe photoshop or something more advance. This software is meant for the simple oriented person who simply wants to make his photos look good.
Cons: None, although more presets for effects are needed...

Version: Picasa 2.2
Pros: This picture editing/organizing software is easy to use and does a decent job. The AutoFix button usually works well. The undo function is the easiest I've seen. Picasa has what is probably the nicest interface of any product that I've ever downloaded. It is so simple to move around in Picasa that you feel like you are floating.
Cons: This is decent software, it just isn't all that powerful.
