This program seems like a capable music-theory tutor, though we wish the trial version were more robust. Piano ChordZ's interface is not beautiful but is nonetheless easy enough to understand shortly after launching the application. The top pane displays a keyboard, while the bottom lets you choose key, scale degree, and mode. Whenever you select your desired chord or scale, the program will highlight the proper piano keys and play them to you in MIDI if you so desire. While the demo will let you select whichever bass notes you please, it disables many of the more advanced chords and scales. For instance, you won't be able to find out how to play the D diminished scale in Mixolydian mode. This demo is appropriate for beginning musicians who only need to learn the brass tacks, but any person seeking to truly get down and dirty with music will need to register.Publisher's description

Version: Piano ChordZ 4.0
"Without trying the MIDI for free, it is not worth buying it"
Pros: ? It could be decent.
Cons: no MIDI for free. So, I would not try it.
-
Version: Piano ChordZ 4.0
Pros: not sure. didnt get to use any midi functions so cant say.
Cons: its just a chord dictionary in demo version. Why register to use midi in/out functions. Why would I buy something before sampling it. Boring and a wasted of download.
-
Version: Piano ChordZ 4.0
"Dont waste time on evaluation demo"
Summary: The full program might be good and worth the time but this evaaluation is not worth the 15 seconds or less it takes to download.
-
Version: Piano ChordZ 4.0
"Really good bang for the buck!"
Summary: I really needed this! Being able to see (and learn) all the chords and scales would be worth it alone. But being able to hear chords and scaled (via the MIDI features) makes this a bargain software.
-
Version: Piano ChordZ 4.0
"Definitely worth trying and buying!"
Summary: As an "untrained" keyboard player, I was really glad to find this software. Most sheet music has chords printed and this makes it east to learn and play new songs.
