Version: Photobie 4.2
Pros: This program has many of the $600+ photo programs on the market today. It is more than capiable for the serious amiture and many of the feachers a professional photogragher could use.
Cons: It is still a work in progress and they are bringing new versions often but it is good for the home program now.

"Not Photoshop, but it has the basics"
Pros: Photobie can do all the simple photo editing that basic users may want. It does utilize the common layer functionality which I love. There are built in functions such as the frame creator that can be fun.
Cons: Still a bit buggy, what do you expect from open source programs.
Great for the price, don't expect to be using a top of the line, industry leading editing software.
