Photobie supports most image format BMP, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, PNG, icon as well as its own multi-layer image editing format. Photobie allows you to create high quality transparent GIF and Icon images.
Version 1.9.2 enhances the transparent support with real transparency instead of transparent color.

Version: Photobie 1.9.2
"Simple, Easy to use, a great quick fix for photos"
Pros: I like that it is free and easy to use. I didn't need to learn to use it, I jsut installed it and started using it right away.
Cons: Could have more features. In image sixe the height should be bound to width automatically and unchecking the box should be secondary
