In version 1.8, Photobie has enhanced screen capture feature allowing up to 8 customized hot keys, now you can capture screen including the cursor by pressing few keys. Photo frame feature allows you create and apply frame to your Photo very easily. Image directory viewer feature allows you to open as many image directories and browse them in a simple way. Photobie integrates most useful features together and allows you to finish daily editing work within one enviroment. Now you can create your presentation images in few step. Photobie supports most image format bmp, jpeg, gif, tiff,png,icon as well as its own multi-layer image editing format pob. Photobie allows you to create high quality transparent GIF and Icon images.
Version 1.9 enhances Layer management, icon editing, and features batch resize/rotate in Image Directory Viewer.

Version: Photobie 1.9
"Very nice handy tool --free!"
Pros: Been using Photobie since v1.6 in June, very easy to use. It has the best combination of features: screen capture with multi-layer image editing. Save me hundred of $$$$! Best for beginners!
Cons: requires .NET framework

Pros: The interface is fairly neat and it can support most picture formats. Be aware that you must have .NET Framework before you can run PhotoBie.
Cons: The filters functions is very limited. Also, the UNDO buton is very small - I had a hard time finding it when I wanted to undo my previous action. I can't even press Cltr + Z, PhotoBie doesn't support it. This program might suit beginners but definitely a no-no for someone who wants more variety.
