"Don't waste your time with this product"

July 13, 2005  |  By Moonstarrz

 |  Version: PhotoShow Deluxe 3.0

Pros

NONE

Cons

I agree with Bernard 2005, although I haven't had any problems with my system crashing, this product is not user friendly at all. There is no way to preview your changes, and it won't let me add videos to my show to make a VCD.

What's the point of having animation and clipart if it won't burn in the final product??

ULEAD Picture Show 3 is a MUCH better product.

"Frustrating user interface, must pay EXTRA for using most feature!!"

July 13, 2005  |  By bernard2005

 |  Version: PhotoShow Deluxe 3.0

Cons

(1). A terribly designed user interface. Navigation between window is very confusing. Definite No No for beginner user.

(2). After purchasing the software, you MUST pay for each DVD you make! What a total rip off!

(3). The software comes with so little clipart, background. You MUST pay again to get more!

(4). Very unstable. I have Pentium 4 with 1GB RAM, it crashes all the time and works really really slow.

(5). VideoCD quality is horrable and it removes all your animation, clipart, etc. Hello??? Why do you make our life so dificult!

(6). When sending show by email the music are all gone! I am just about to throw myself out of the window of frustration.

(7). It screw up my hard disk. It make duplicates of my photos and creating files everywhere in My Picture folder!! Why? I spent the whole day fixing all the mess it creates.

Oh no please, I will never recommend this thing to anyone.

"Poor Reliability, Difficult User Interface, Limited Functionality - Don't Buy"

April 29, 2005  |  By audrocks

 |  Version: PhotoShow Deluxe 3.0

Pros

The free version is interoperable with Snapfish.

Cons

1) Child-like yet maddingly frustrating user interface. Navigation is basically trial and error.

2) Very sluggish performance and very high system resource consumption (CPU & Memory)

3) Functionality is limited and nothing that can't now be found in shareware or equally-priced yet vastly superior shrinkwrap software.

4) Half the functionality is designed to cross-sell products and services for an aditional fee.

"DOES NOT DO WHAT IT CLAIMS"

December 07, 2004  |  By oeasler

 |  Version: PhotoShow Deluxe 3.0

Summary

I downloaded and purchased PhotShowDeluxe after having tried it. It will not burn a show to cd that plays the graphics you edited into the program. This makes it very mediocre. Further, it will not play on my computer with either Interactive or Windows Media Player. The cd sound and video are very poor quality. I have requested a refund but probably won't get. Don't buy this software, you'll be terribly disappointed. I downloaded from their website and paid almost $80.00 for the download, an accompanying cd and shipping - again ripped!

"doesn't deliver what it promises"

September 03, 2004

 |  Version: PhotoShow Deluxe 3.0

Summary

Most of the product features, like the clip art do not work on the VCD only on a DVD.The transitions between photos on VCD does not work either. To get the DVDs you have to order them from Photo Show at $14.95 each, you can't make them on your own computer. In defense of them, they gave me a refund on the product.

"Doesn't do much for the money paid"

August 13, 2004

 |  Version: PhotoShow Deluxe 3.0

Summary

Although this product is easy to develop an ok album. I bought the Full version (Deluxe - which included all the themes, etc) and there isn't a lot to choose from.

Sadder yet, is making the VCD you lose all the hard work of animations that you made in your show. You CANNOT make a DVD unless you go to their website to pay for it. Since making the mistake of purchasing this product I've learnt there are far more superior products than this, with many more options and usually at a cheaper cost.

I wouldn't mind the program if I could make all the little goodies myself, Transfers, DVD, Calendars, etc. I just can't see paying extra for something that I could do on my own.

I just bought this yesterday and if there is a 15 day trial then I'm shooting to get my money back for the full purchase.

"Works well for everyone"

August 08, 2004

 |  Version: PhotoShow Deluxe 3.0

Summary

This tool is simple enough to use for the computer novice and powerful enough for your average to advanced users.

The help document is not very good but the software itself works well.

"Easy to use for novices."

July 27, 2004

 |  Version: PhotoShow Deluxe 3.0

Summary

It makes cute slide shows easily. It is not as full-featured as other programs such as ProShow. It can't burn DVDs and doesn't have motion effects. The plain version is a better value if you don't need editing features.

"Worked fine with my 6 megapixel camera"

June 17, 2004

 |  Version: PhotoShow Deluxe 3.0

Summary

I was importing 6 megapixel images from my camera into this program and the images looked great. Printing and publishing features are very helpful and easy to use. I've already reccommended this program to my family. It's great!
