From Jacek Pazera :Pazera Free MP4 to AVI Converter is a freeware application which converts iPod/PSP movies (MP4, M4V, and MP4V) to AVI or MPEG. The application allows you to set many parameters used by encoder: audio and video codec, audio and video bitrate, fps, sampling frequency, resolution, and other. The Pazera Free MP4 to AVI Converter interface is very simple and user-friendly. To convert video files, just drag & drop them into main window and click on the Convert button. Version 1.1 improves stability.

Version: Pazera Free MP4 To AVI Converter 1.1
Pros: Converted an M4V file I had to download because that was wthe only format available on the site. The Pazera interface is easy to use with two output choices -- AVI or MPEG. Worked without a hitch. Recommended.
Cons: Nothing. It serves its one purpose well.

Pros: It is a good program for free.
Cons: My only complaint it it sucks CPU power, worse the AVG or Nero!

"the avi output was a little fuzzy"
Pros: I like the ability to change output size and crop to suite screen.
Cons: it takes a long time and cant tell wether it is actually still processing or it has stopped(frozen)
