Publisher's description
From LeahScape :One password to rule them all. If you're like most people, you have a few passwords that you use over and over again on many different Web sites. You know this isn't secure, but you do it anyway. Because it's difficult to remember a unique password for each and every Web site that requires one. PasswordMaker manages all your online accounts using either new, uncrackable passwords it creates, or your existing passwords. It even automatically populates Web forms for one-click login. Moreover, passwords aren't stored anywhere--they are calculated over and over again as they're needed--so there's nothing to be lost, hacked, or stolen. Version 1.5.1 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: PasswordMaker 1.5.1
"Secure and convenient but takes time to set up."
Pros: This handy Firefox extension gets the growing number of passwords in your life back under control. PasswordMaker is safe because it doesn't store any passwords on your computer. You create one password, which becomes the "master key" that generates unique passwords for all your other accounts. Once installed, just right click on any password field and PasswordMaker enters the password for you. Portability is no problem, because PasswordMaker is also available online. Versions of PasswordMaker for PDAs and mobile phones are promised soon, as of this writing.
Cons: The concept behind PasswordMaker may be confused with the similar function of web browsers that remember passwords for you. Unlike this method, PasswordMaker does not actually remember your passwords. It generates the same password every time for each account, on demand. This approach is the key to its security and portability. Some users may also find the advanced settings for PasswordMaker to be intimidating or confusing. The "accounts" settings are actually profiles for different methods used to generate passwords for particular web sites. For example, some web sites only allow numbers and letters in passwords, while others allow any characters at all. Once PasswordMaker is installed, it's necessary to reset all your passwords to the ones generated by PasswordMaker, using the account settings for each one. Setting up PasswordMaker to work with all of your passwords takes time but the security and convenience is well worth the effort.
