"Did not unlock template. Had to CTRL-ALT-DEL terminate"
Version: Password Eliminator .XLS 1.0.3
Pros
It was on Cnet Download.com and did not try to sneak in a toolbar when installing.
Cons
Did not unlock xls template which is password protected from changing cells, etc. Did not do what it is supposed to then had errors and would not close down.
Summary
Told me my XLS document ' isn't protected by a password'- it is.
Then it popped up an error from itself & a help dialog box from MS Office 2007 appears and says that it can't display help- would I like to repair this feature now?
My office 2007 works great and is a full install with nothing to be run from disk so I am NOT going to click O.K to make changes when this program could not even do what it was supposed to do.
I had to CTRL-ALT-DEL to close. I am XP service pack 3. AMD 64 on an asus board and over a gig of memory. No spyware or viri and minimal background programs running to cause interference. I do not have lock ups or issues with Office or my computer in general so I can say with all certainty- the problem is your program. Good luck fixing it- I will check back in the future as it will be handy once it works.
The background programs I am running are AVG FREE, Spybot S&D resident tea timer, Realtech SoundMan and oh, I do have the Advanced Vista Optimizer 2009 running its memory manager.
