This utilitarian application is designed to convert PDF files into other formats, but its output isn't as clean compared to other similar programs and we experienced occasional stability issues. Paq PDFtools doesn't offer a wide range of features, with a single File menu option to browse for and choose a PDF file, and check boxes for selecting HTML, TXT, BMP, or JPEG format for the output. The new file is saved to the same folder as the source document, and you can't specify a different destination. Other than changing the zoom size, no user settings or preferences are offered. Despite this program's limited range of functions, we found it crashed on some machines during the conversion process, and when files were created, the quality wasn't always good. The trial application is limited to 15 days and only converts the first three pages of a document, adding to the list of drawbacks. More powerful programs are available, and users won't have a problem finding a more effective file converter.
