Lightwight Low system recources fingerprint, Fast, Super user friendly, great detection/removal rate. It might not have all the advanced features compared to other AV programs but the few features that it uses are solid and way better than other AV's

Its still a beta version and this might cause a few minor problems.
Summary
Panda Cloud is a rock solid and easy to use program, it might not have all the nice gadgets and advanced features that other AV programs offer but thats also the main reason that it is so light and has a very low system recource footprint while still maintaining a very high Detection/Removal rate, the core and database is provided by the well known and respected Panda Antivirus.
Panda Cloud is not installing a recource slurping virus detection engine on your pc, but itn uses a online uplink to connect to the massive Cloud network to watch over your system like a angel, so you do not need updates, or loading or what ever time consuming actions to use Panda Cloud it has very few buttons inside the menu even a child can use it and still be very effective.
The system scan is very advanced and removes all the found malware with just a push on a button.
Because its still a beta version i would not recommend to use Panda Cloud as a main program but on the other hand during the testing fase Panda Cloud has already outperformed many well known AV programs.
Best of all? Its free, solid, fast and it has a very simple but advanced and good anti malware scanner that will protect you.
Bottom line?:
Panda Cloud Antivirus uses the power of cloud computing to scan and eliminate viruses from your PC that can identify new malware in almost real time.
Traditional anti-virus applications simply download an update from the servers on a periodic basis to keep your virus definitions scanning for the latest viruses?Cloud Antivirus uses their cloud system to do the work of classifying and scanning for new viruses, and is constantly updated with the latest virus information based on information from every other PC running the software.
The client is lightweight, taking a mere 16mb of RAM on our test system?and while it caches a copy of the definitions for offline use, it doesn't seem to take much drive space either and it really detects and removes malware as a good AV should do.
If the final version is just as good as the beta already is then we can be happy because Panda Cloud is one of the many good AV's that protects the users against online and offline malware's. -

A great AV, i used AVG but Cloud detected me 15 different type of malware that AVG didn´t watch. 15 virus in total between spyware, adware, rootkits and 2 trojans!!! ***!! Bye AVG Hi! Panda Cloud. Ah! and it´s very soft!

Pros
Light, easy, and free. Great for novice users because there is nothing for them to mess up. Great for Advanced users because they are low risk for viruses but still need protection. Power users may get annoyed with lack of tweaks but still great.
Cons
Beta so far has lack of advanced tools or options (do not scan zips, ignore specific directories or files, etc). I worry the auto delete/clean option may trigger on false positives or on the other spectrum will play it safe and leave viruses.
Summary
The concept is no it does not need av library updates because it uses the "cloud" for real time protection. Also it updates in the background if necessary. Their main website states they want this AV to be as non obtrusive and self thinking as possible to be transparent for the average user. Still in beta so there may be an advanced mode option for power users that may want quarantine/ignore options or whatever else.
I used to recommend PC Tools AV and ThreatFire to friends and relatives to do what this program is claiming. The simplicity has made it a better choice. ThreatFire uses a similar "cloud" tech for zero day threats but triggers on a ton of false positives (eg: UT3 for a while). A large fear I have is legit applications being false positives and the fact you cannot tell the AV to ignore the app or its directory so you will have to disable your AV if this does happen (hypothesis).
From what I have seen and tried, this product offers the best free protection from multiple threats. -

The lightest antivirus i have come across. I used to use Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0. It took about 65mb for auto-protect and an additional 85-90mb on running a scan. this runs a scan for 22mb. That's all.
Cons
An extremely unreliable antivirus, nowhere close to symantec& mcafee security solutions, this can really lead to a big loss.On uninstalling SEP11, i left all my trojans and believe me it didn't detect any(71).has no updts& surely wll bcom useles soon
