From Jan Fiala :PSPad Editor is a programmer's editor with support for multiple syntax highlighting profiles. It comes with a hex editor, CP conversion, text differences, templates, macros, spell check option, auto-completion, and code explorer. The program is pre-configured for the most popular programming languages (VB, C++, SQL, PHP, ASP, Python) and you can further customize the syntax settings. PSPad includes several additional tools that are especially useful for HTML editing (compress, format code) and also integrates TopStyle Lite and TidyHTML. The program can be used as IDE for any compiler. Additional features include support for project, file browsing, custom shortcuts, and built-in FTP client to edit files on the server.

Pros: Very very good text/hex editor, superior even to many/most commercial applications.
Cons: I dislike the tiny toolbar buttons and that I cannot create my own toolbars. It hurts productivity.

"Excellent Editor for Perl, HTML, C/C++"
Pros: And the Price is right, too. Lot's of nice features. Highlights matching brackets; supplies closing chars (bracket, parens, quotes, etc. - which can be disabled), And I like the small toolbar icons.
This is a very powerful editor.
THis is the editor I use exclusively now.
Cons: Just one that I can think of: I wish I could use vi editor commands;

Pros: very easy to use. the cab version doesn't even need to be installed to run :P
