From Pocketfleet :PFSCanWi-Fi Locator for the Pocket PC. With this handy utility you can locate and determine if a Wireless network near you is secure or not. You will be amazed at the number of wireless networks that are in your area, in a 10 mile trip in the country we found over 100 networks, 60 of them were not secured allowing anyone to connect to the internet. Use PFScan to locate Public Access Points in your area. Public Access points can be found in major cities, near airports, hotels, and restaurants.FEATURESList networks by SSIDSignal strength if availableChannelTypeSecurity (WEP or Unsecured)MAC address of the access pointBest signal if availableWorst signal if availableDate and time first seenDate and time of last contactZoom in on signal for pinpointing (If available)Quick display of active networksShow or hide secureSound emits a sonar style ping when a new connection is madeShow or hide peersAdjustable refresh rateSelectable font sizeSuspend modePortrait, Square Screen, or Landscape mode8 Languages with 4 english and 2 French localsEnglish CanadaEnglish UKEnglish USAFrench FranceFrench CanadaHungarianPolishRussianGermanItalianPortugueseBar Graph signal meterExport (Save) list to xls Excel fileAuto-sense correct language on install based on your device settingsFast 24/7 email and web SupportBe sure to visit the Handango powered support site at http://www.pocketfleet.homeunix.com for tips, troubleshooting, great deals, free stuff and special discounts. If you are out on the road and wanted to check email or look up a web page on your Pocket PC, all you have to do is check for available networks with PFScanStand alone scanners can retail for over $65.00, why pay more when your Pocket PC can do the job quite easily...WARNING: In some US States and other countries it may be against the law to access wireless networks without expressed permission even if that network is unencrypted. SSIDs that read "Public access point" may constitute permission and therefore can be accessed without further permissions. PFScan only shows wireless signals and the details about those signals, no data is accessed on the sites and no data is intercepted. Refer to the laws of your area before connecting to an open site.Based on code examples by Zoltan Demeter and other fine mobile device developers
