"terrible program"
Version: PDFtypewriter with PDF Printer Driver 6.3.1374
Pros
free. that's about it.
Cons
this is a terribly written program. i can't do anything without it acting up in one way or another. I tried grabbing the corner of a writing field to make it smaller, and POP the corners of the writing field went far out of the edges of the program. I dragged it to the side so I could make it smaller again, and POP it became even bigger! this is just one example of MANY.
Summary
Buy Adobe's program. Seriously. This thing might be free, but it isn't worth it.

"Product Works"
Version: PDFtypewriter with PDF Printer Driver 6.3.1374
Pros
Ive had this product for some years now and it totally does what it says; I am an attorney and most legal forms need to be uploaded to the court database in pdf; there are also alot of legal forms that are in pdf that need to be filled and saved.
Cons
If any sometimes (and this is like 5% of the time) some boxes do not allow me to check off - but this is easily solved by using the handwriting tool etc.
Summary
Great product and for the price...cant be beat! It totally works

"Large Red Banner inserted on my Document"
Version: PDFtypewriter with PDF Printer Driver 6.3.1374
Pros
It does allow you to fill-in a form and save it.
Cons
It saves a huge red banner across the top of the file you saved after having used the demo. The only way to remove it is to buy the full version.
Summary
When I opened a document in the PDFTypewriter for the first time and saw the sea of blue slashes obscuring the input text and field info, it immediately gave me the feeling that the software was developed by junior developers at best. Using such a blinding and obscuring visual indicator of the field presence backs this up and is driven home by the advertised limitation imposed and supported by the statements something to the effect that existing fields cannot be edited or removed as they may cause associated fields to have Java errors. This is likely due to inexperience in handling the deletion or editing of the fields and subsequently is managed by the action not being allowed. WT......this is an integral part of a PDF editor!
But clincher is the massive red banner / watermark that is saved into the form that is a red flag being swung for all to see the development inexperience. Instead of inserting the watermark at the time of the printing only, it is SAVED into the form and it requires a purchase of the full version of the software to remove it.
My error was spending time filling out a form with real data as the test document to see how this application worked before purchasing it as an cheap substitute to the costly Adobe Acrobat. When I realized the watermark was permanently saved to my document, I uninstalled the app and went in search for a more professional alternative, such at the free version of PDF Escape. I have not tested its full potential as I had to redownload the blank document and fill it out a second time as trying to remove the inserted text /watermark was more of a hassle than it was worth.
I am disappointed by the lame attempt at luring customers by saving that red mess into our documents and at the same time, I'm reminded that the age old adage, you get what you pay for is still very true.
