Although the interface won't suit some palates, PDACookbook Plus does help to organize recipes and assist with meal planning and shopping.
You can opt to install the program on your Pocket PC, Windows Mobile, or Palm OS handhelds. The program's interface definitely lacks pizazz, but thankfully, it's easy to operate. It comes preloaded with more than 1,000 recipes that include such international cuisines as Thai, Russian, and Asian. Recipes are organized alphabetically and feature detailed ingredients, instructions, an image tab, and a nutritional information tab, though no nutritional information is included.
PDACookbook Plus offers buttons to add, edit, or delete recipes and categories. You'll also find tools to print, filter, backup, restore, and import/export. Recipes can be exported in popular recipe formats such as Meal-Master and MasterCook. In terms of extras, the program includes an easy-to-use menu planner, a handy shopping list maker, and a conversion table.
The download comes with a short 14-day trial period. Everyday cooks looking to organize and manage their meal planning will appreciate PDACookbook Plus, but more advanced cooks may find it too simple for their tastes.
