This parental-control application lets you manage computer usage, but unlike many similar programs, it doesn't log user activity. PC TimeWatch has a functional interface that allows you to easily select users to authorize, set time slots, select programs to restrict, and to add/change bonus time, among other features. You can define what programs should and shouldn't be running at specified times and for how long. The extra PC TimeWatch Usage icon serves as a quick guide to check each user's available time. Upon time-allowance expiration, a countdown message box will appear, warning the user to save his or her work. Unfortunately, the program does not log visited Web sites, applications used, or any other aspect of user behavior. PC TimeWatch, with its 21-day trial, comes recommended for parents seeking an easy way to keep a handle on computer time, although some may prefer a more robust solution.

PC TimeWatch manages access to the computer, to the Internet and to programs on the computer. The idea for the utility was inspired by requests from parents wanting to manage childrens' time on the computer. You can define a set of rules for every person who uses the computer. PC TimeWatch enforces these rules, thus defusing any conflict between parents and children. Version 1.3 added new languages, made internal security changes and fixed bugs. Now supports english, french, german, portuguese (both brazilian and standard) and spanish.
