Protect your system from unauthorized software using this effective and handy tool, but note that its limitations deter user tests. PC Memory Shield defaults to a well-designed, easy-to-use interface that even novices can easily grasp. It scans your start-up menu and, before running in your system, lets you choose either to block or to allow each program. The tool silently resides in your system tray and immediately alerts you in case any programs attempt to run on your system. Unfortunately, though this program can effectively notify users for running programs, its block feature is disabled in the trial version, leaving unverifiable results about whether it can really block a program. We recommend this application for its effective notification feature, but we cannot vouch for the reliability of its results.Publisher's description

Version: PC Memory Shield 6.0.1
Pros: It looks nice and it works great, but.....
Cons: It is very annoying. Every time I wanted to do anything on my computer, an alert popped up asking me to allow or deny the action. My firewall does that and remembers which to do and doesn't pop up for every little thing like PC Memory Shield does. When the alert pops up it stays on top of everything else. It seems like a great security program for those who don't mind a lot of alerts popping up or for computers that need more security, but I don't recommend it for the average user.
