    Version: Ozum 4

"Takes the drudgery out of downloading newsgroup articles and images"

    by jfk49 on February 12, 2006

Pros: I was impressed with how easy the Ozum Newsreader is to use. The fact that it support yEnc decoding is a major plus. I particularly like the Ozum search engine and active binary groups directory which quickly allows you to find exactly what you're looking for. Images load in an instant and navigating the browser is a breeze. I highly recommend Ozum for all newsgroup tasks.

    "Excellent Newsreader"

by chasblock on March 19, 2006

Pros: Ozum Newsreader provides excellent maintenance of newgroups, decodes articles quickly and populates subscribed groups with no hassles. Built in viewer works like a charm, for binaries. Combines .rar and split files automatically. Easy to learn and easy to use. It has replaced Gravity as my newsreader of choice. It is well worth the money. Tech support via email is prompt, courteous and extremely helpful. If you're not using Ozum, you're missing out on the greatest newsreader ever written.

Cons: Deleting already read files could be a bit faster. But this is a very minor drawback.

"The best news-reading software money can buy"

    by Yorkie0362 on February 24, 2006

Pros: I use Ozum and recomend it to other, because, I think it is the most featured yet simplest to use of all the packages available. If downloading binaries is your bag, then Ozum will download and compile all the parts for you with one double click... no fuss.

I like to also keep my text groups apart from binarys and I do this easily by setting up seperate projects.

And finally the cross group search facility is an absolute god send as is the support if required. If you want a reader that will do anything newsgroup related, get ozum, jack of all trades\master of all...

    "An Excellent News Reader"

by Donv on February 16, 2006

Pros: This reader is great, particularly it deals seemlesly with diferent post file formats.

Also when large files have been split between seperate posts a search is instantly made to determine that all are present before down loading. If all present then the posts all download and the attached file is recompiled automatically, ready for use.

The new thumbnail facility is also useful, particularly for photos.

    Cons: Can't think of any!!

    "One Top Newsreader"

by Peken on February 10, 2006

Pros: After a lot of Google searching, and trying out most of the free Newsreaders, I stumbled on this one. After the evaluation period I bought it - my only Newsreader now. Ozum is easy to setup, simple to handle, and very stable. 4 stars to product. The fifth star is for a very fast responding and very friendly support - rare these days!
