Optimal Desktop lets you organize your sources of information and share your research. A 3-dimensional tabbed browser interface for Internet Explorer lets researchers bookmark and organize links in one step. Tabs allow for simultaneous browsing and ready access to thousands of links. Web, RSS and desktop folders can be organized by project or subject and accessed within the browser environment. Links are tagged and can be searched. Research results can be shared as tabbed windows and viewed by others in the free Feli-X reader. The network edition lets Project Managers create, and manage project portals that cut across Internet, Intranet and desktop sources of information. Optimal Desktop RSS features let you subscribe to blogs and news sites, create your own custom feeds from an online aggregator, directly search and import feeds from an online directory that hosts more than 4000 feeds and publish your links as RSS files. Version 5 build 211 fixes MS patch and updates the unlock system.
Note: The freeware version is limited to 150 links in 5 drawer tabs.
