Opera Mini 4 delivers a fast, impressively advanced user-friendly experience with this upgrade to its mobile phone browser. Keypad hot keys speed up zooming and scrolling. The browser comes with a familiar mouse. You can create your own search shortcuts, synchronize your bookmarks with your other Opera browsers, and alternate between rendering views.
There's also a landscape mode activated by pressing the "#" and "*" keys, just not for BlackBerry phones or a few others. Other limitations exist, as well, most notably that Opera Mini isn't compatible with every carrier and model, so you'd best check the specs first.

Publisher's description
From Opera Software :Opera Mini allows you access to the full Internet on your Palm device. Users can surf any Web site such as Google, Yahoo, Amazon, eBay, and Hotmail on their Palm just like they would on a normal computer. Instead of requiring the phone to process Web pages, it uses a remote server to pre-process the page before sending it to the device.
Version 3.0.6 adds new features like RSS support, photo sharing, and secure connections.

Version: Opera Mini (Palm) 3.0.6
"Dosen't work, systems freezes and resets!! DON'T GET THIS"
Pros: NONE
Cons: EVERYTHING! I am a lifedrive used. This browser doesn't work, systems freezes and resets!! Tried to open basic sites like gmail, bbcnews first kept saying there is a network connection error, and then asked me if it can send and receive information via air time. Once I sorted those out, and when it started connecting, the system just froze and reset itself. Not worth it! I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. it is nothing like the regular opera.

Version: Opera Mini (Palm) 3.0.6
"It's ok - good alternative to Blazer"
Pros: I know that many people experience the crashing - at least on my Treo there was a simple solution provided in a Gmail tutorial. For those of you who are getting the flash of the EULA before the app shuts down, this should work.
These are the instructions, word for word from Gmail
"
Please review the following configuration settings on your Treo by visiting Preferences > IBM Java VM:
* Check Use Double Buffering.
* Check Use high resolution coordinates.
* Don't set anything for HTTP Proxy.
* Set Memory maximum to at least 4Mb.
* Set Maximum java thread stack size to 4kb
"
Hope that helps. Amazing that Opera didn't provide this fix so that more people would enjoy their product. Who knows how many people tossed it after the repeated crashing.

Version: Opera Mini (Palm) 3.0.6
"Currently, Build 3.0.6540 is faulty for Tungsten C"
Pros: It will probably be a really good browser when the nasty "freeze bug" is squashed.
Cons: My Tungsten C freezes solid as soon as Opera begins to display the first web page (not the Start Page). The only way to thaw it is to reboot via the Reset Hole on the back of the PDA. I hope Opera sort it, as it could be a good browser.

Version: Opera Mini (Palm) 3.0.6
Pros: None
Cons: I can't get Opera to recognize my network. It begins the process, then crashes. This despite trying a reinstall. I hope it works for you, but I deleted it.

"Can't get it to work on Treo 650"
Pros: Startup page looks great
Cons: Wish I could actually use the browser. Every time I click on any link or type in any URL I see a brief flash about an End User License Agreement and then I get dumped back to the mail list of apps. With no apparent usable support on the Opera site I'm left with an app that doesn't work and which I must thus delete.
