This simple utility schedules logoff, shutdown, or reboot but has some major flaws. OpenHalt has a straightforward and simple interface that lets the user specify the hour, minutes, or seconds until shutdown or reboot, but not for logoff. You can enter a message to display before execution. Unfortunately, OpenHalt forces running applications to close regardless of whether the force check box is checked or not, which could result in data loss when the action is performed. Oddly, the option to specify and use on a network was disabled on this open-source application. Though appropriate for all users, OpenHalt is outclassed in design and functionality by others in its category.Publisher's description
