OnyX is a multifunction utility for Mac OS X. It allows you to verify the Startup Disk and the structure of its System files, to run misc tasks of system maintenance, to configure the hidden parameters of the Finder, Dock and of some of Apple's own applications, to delete caches, to remove a certain number of files and folders that may become cumbersome and more.
What's new in this version:
- Show/hide QuickTime Player 7 Movie Inspector at launch
- Force enabling AirDrop
- Bugs corrected in the Parameters > iTunes panel
- Bugs corrected in the Infos panel
- Xcode isn't required anymore to install the Network Link Conditioner Preferences Pane

"I have used onyX for years and find it a handy tool."

Pros
For a free cleaner it works very well at cleaning up my imac. There are more easy to use cleaners, but all are paid versions. If you stay with the settings in the program and do not change anything your not sure about, I find it a safe cleaner and never have had any issues.
Cons
My only complaint is having to restart and entert my pass words, but other than this minor issue for the cost it works well.
