Summary
I needed it to reformat a fried USB stick and it did so where other software failed. I didn't try to recover files, but I wonder if other commenters had problems due to limitations in the trial version. Note it states a limit of 5 photo recoveries.

Summary
I had a Flash drive which contained a number of corrupted files. I wasn't interested in recovering them; I just wanted to delete them and/or reformat the drive. Windows (XP) would not let me delete the corrupted files, nor would it format the drive or repair it. Within about 10 seconds of starting up OnBelay, I had the drive cleaned up and ready to go. So, that was great. Out of curiosity, I popped in a different Flash drive and checked to see what files OnBelay could recover. It was able to identify a bunch of deleted files, but I couldn't get it to recover any of them. So, that was less great.

It does not see the corrupted files. Therefore nothing to recover. Instead, I used Recovery Manger V1.5 and it worked.

I used to use this on my old XP laptop, but even after all this time my money has been wasted as it still does not work with Windows Vista

This program couldn't even find the photo files that still existed, let alone the ones that were missing. Don't waste your time with it, at least for recovery purposes.
