This full-fledged offline browser not only copies individual Web pages and online photo albums, it also downloads and lets you view entire sites offline. Its customizable interface lets you easily cope with numerous downloads. With the built-in browser, you can view retrieved sites or search for new targets directly from the program. Offline Explorer Pro provides everything for easy downloading: proxy-server support; connection control (a number of simultaneous connections, bandwidth limitations); an internal dial-up that disconnects when finished or resumes broken connections; scheduling; and smart Web-browser integration.
Various filters cut unnecessary content, letting you skip or include file types, sizes, URLs, servers, domains, and directories. You also can retrieve only updated files, disable downloading or directories from a convenient site map, or simply drag missing pages from your browser. Offline Explorer Pro has most of the features we expect from a perfect offline browser, especially for dial-up users.
Publisher's description
From MetaProducts :From the developer: "Offline Explorer Pro lets you download Internet directories, files, and entire web sites, and work with them offline. With its ability to download up to 500 files simultaneously, Offline Explorer lets you quickly and easily move Internet data to your hard drive. Browsing from your hard disk is much faster than from the Internet, even if you have a cable connection. With Offline Explorer, you can download the web site you want during off-peak hours, when throughput is fastest. And you can browse it offline, when you're not connected to the Internet at all.
"Offline Explorer decreases psychological wear and tear by making web sites available when you need them, even if the Internet is slow, or the target web site is unavailable. By putting important web sites on your hard drive, you've restored certainty and control to your surfing. Offline Explorer lets you take the web site with you when you travel with your laptop computer. When the flight attendants ask everybody to disconnect from the Internet, you still have your web sites on your hard drive.
"Many web sites change rapidly, and it is hard to find information that was there just days earlier. With Offline Explorer, you can make an archive of files that interest you, and access them at any time, even if the original web site no longer exists.
"Version 1.9.503 adds F11 shortcut for Full-screen internal browser, SOCKS5 proxy support for FTP, Clicking on the Length column changes its representation, Clicking on the Loaded column changes its representation, Export substitutes moved links with real ones now, bug fixes and much more."
Note: Registration costs $50. There is a 30-day trial period.
