This full-fledged offline browser not only copies individual Web pages and online photo albums, it also downloads and lets you view entire sites offline. Its customizable interface lets you easily cope with numerous downloads. With the built-in browser, you can view retrieved sites or search for new targets directly from the program. Offline Explorer Pro provides everything for easy downloading: proxy-server support; connection control (a number of simultaneous connections, bandwidth limitations); an internal dial-up that disconnects when finished or resumes broken connections; scheduling; and smart Web-browser integration.
Various filters cut unnecessary content, letting you skip or include file types, sizes, URLs, servers, domains, and directories. You also can retrieve only updated files, disable downloading or directories from a convenient site map, or simply drag missing pages from your browser. Offline Explorer Pro has most of the features we expect from a perfect offline browser, especially for dial-up users.
Publisher's description
From MetaProducts :MetaProducts Offline Explorer Pro (OEP) is a Windows 9x/NT program that allows you to download your favorite Web, FTP, and HTTP sites (up to 500 simultaneously) for later offline viewing, editing, or browsing. Offline Explorer Pro includes a download directory for folders, nested folders in the Projects tree, URL macros, multiple URLs in one project, the ability to keep primary files, the ability to keep old copies of loaded files, a downloading queue display, an improved Messages panel design, HTTPS support, and more. OEP also has many Web development features that allow you to edit, view, or browse your downloaded Web pages or FTP sites with ease (OEP has a built-in internal browser). One of OEP's strengths is to allow you to selectively include or exclude individual servers, directories, and files using only keywords.
Version 1.5.368 features a new Project wizard, support for MPEG3 playlist files, an improved site map context menu, and much more.
Note: This is a 30-day trial version. The shareware registration fee is $50.
