Abbyy Sprint, packaged with many scanners, does a pretty good job with OCR. It's interface does not do such a hot job OCRing many files at once. OCRAutomator allows the easy selection of many files at once, taking advantage of Sprint's command-line interface. Alternately, it can be used with any application that takes multiple file names as parameters on the command line by changing the value in the small textbox. Please note that OCRAutomator is, a quick freeware hack, and will behave that way. Use at your own risk!
