Publisher's description of O&O Defrag Professional Edition 10
From O&O Software:The new O&O Defrag 10 Professional Edition for Windows-based workstations unlocks your computer's hidden performance. By securely repacking your hard disk's fragmented data back together, the operation of your hard disks can be streamlined to run with lightning efficiency. O&O Defrag 10 Professional Edition offers an extremely simple user interface with a multitude of important functions you won't find with other defragmentation software. Fragmentation is the main cause of significant performance losses in Windows. Due to the fact that the hard disk is the slowest component of a computer, its optimization is an especially important issue. By using O&O Defrag 10, files can be read and written much more quickly. The O&O OneButtonDefrag Technology lets you sit back and relax while the optimal defragmentation configuration is tailored directly to your system. A job is created and then executed, making performance improvements on your system faster than ever.
Version 10 improves interface, Defrag Wizard and Power Management configurations.

Version: O&O Defrag Professional Edition 10
"This is a good utility, but not my first choice."
Pros: This is a feature packed defrag utility with several options, scheduling and different types of defrags. It will handle any file types, large and small and help hard drive performance. It has a nice GUI and runs with "XP" and "Vista".
Cons: My first choice in this type utility is "Perfect Disk". The reason is, after running "O&O Defrag, then "Tuneup Utilities Disk Doctor" shows hard drive errors. To correct the errors, I have to restart and let windows "Windows Disk Check" do it's thing. This applications many options can be confusing. Which type of defrag do I need to run? I've never figured out why I get disk errors from this application but because of these errors, I've decided on another product.

Version: O&O Defrag Professional Edition 10
Pros: Didn't load.
Cons: When I tried to install, it informed me that I needed Windows 2000 or better. I have Vista. Maybe it doesn't work under a 64bit system.

"I have to disagree with these reviews."
Pros: I have to disagree with these reviews, at least when it comes to Vista. Although I've alyways liked it on my XP machine, it almost destroyed my Vista OS. I realize several folks will disagree but this review is 100% true as to what happened to me. I'll stick with AUSLogics free disk defrag, thanks anyway!
Cons: I have a legal licensed copy of Perfect Disk but won't trust it on my Vista machine. I read these reviews and was hoping for a good, alternative for Vista. After I ran it, several programs would no longer start at all. A one click maintenance with Tuneup Utilities 2008 found and repaired 525 registry errors, and several system errors. This darned thing almost killed my Vista system all together. So I fed it to Revo Uninstaller. Problem solved.

"The 2nd Best Defragger to Me"
Pros: Pros It is Faster than perfect Disk but less efficient. It is very good maybe better than diskkeeper but not better than perfectdisk.
Cons: Cons : Cannot defrag system files & metadata. Only Perfect Disk can.
