This simple but powerful utility helps you free up disk space by uncovering duplicate files. The boring, businesslike interface isn't very well organized and must be run in full-screen mode to see search results. In our tests, NoClone did its job fairly quickly and let us search for duplicate files by specifying particular drives, folders, and file types. You can choose to locate documents by identical names and content, as well as by partially matching text. We did appreciate NoClone's timesaving features, which include the ability to automatically delete older versions of the same file and to save search parameters for future use. The only thing we really missed was a built-in tool for line-to-line comparisons. Still, if your hard drive is bloated with unnecessary files, it can't hurt to add NoClone to your arsenal of cleaning tools.Publisher's description
From Reasonable Software House :You may not realize how many duplicate files you have after downloaded many files from the Internet or duplicate files scattered over your home or corporate network. Duplicate files are usually redundant and unnecessary, so keeping them is merely a waste of valuable hard disk space. Your hard drives may be full of documents, mp3, photos and video and many of them are redundant. NoClone finds and removes true duplicate files by true byte-to-byte comparison, not by CRC. It searches duplicate file contents regardless of filename. Duplicate music (MP3, WMA), photos (JPEG, GIF), documents and any file type can be searched. With Smart Marker, files are selected for deletion. A search session can be saved. Duplicate files can be deleted, moved, or copied. You can clean up your hard drive and manage files better. Home edition can search on up to 3 network destinations and up to 300,000 files. Version 4.1.42 includes enhancements on duplicate e-mail search.

Pros: this helps me keep the dups off my machine. It does i quickly which i like
Cons: i haven't found anything i don't like
Summary: I fell safe in using it and it does a quick job. This way there is less stuff on my hard drive

Pros: It thoroughly finds all clones, but deleting the marked clones sure does take a longtime to complete!
Cons: Takes forever to delete clones and slows my computer down something fierce, and I?m running a 2.10 GHz Dual Core Processor!
Tried scanning a 781 MB folder - took 3 minutes to scan and yet 2 hours to clean!Summary: Find something else!
It takes less time to manually go through your files and delete clones than running this program!
Scanned a 98 GB file ? took a day to scan and almost 4 days to clean! Thank G*d I was away for those days! -

Pros: It does NTFS Links
Cons: Extremely slow, will search for hours and return nothing even though there are duplicates present. Creating NTFS links will many times stop with an error and then you have to do it all over again.
Summary: The only reason I use this product is to create NTFS links of duplicate files. BTW, I have the Enterprise edition.

- Allows a single click to remove duplicatesCons: - A bit slow, but then again, I was searching two 250GB hard drives
Summary: Overall, the best duplicate file software I've used. Others can return results which are not always accurate, but NoClone is accurate and easy to use.
