- Version reviewed: Ninja Surfing 1.2.33.1
It offers a clear-cut means to anonymous Web browsing, but this IP-masking program doesn't throw in any extras and surfing is noticeably slow. Ninja Surfing's small UI is all business, with simple buttons to carry out functioning and a no-frills design. The interface showed our current IP address, and all we had to do was select the correct country from the drop-down menu.
Ninja Surfing quickly found available working proxies to mask our true IP, and it's a one-click process to switch to a new one. As expected, surfing with the fake proxy is a bit slower, so those with an already-slow connection might find the sluggishness isn't a good trade-off for the anonymity. Also, you can't build your own list of proxies to switch between or set a timer for automatic toggling between the proxies like other apps we've worked with.
Even though this application is skimpy on features, and there's not much to test, the three-day trial is still on the stingy side. Ninja Surfing offers simple, anonymous Web-surfing capabilities to those folks merely needing the basics, but it was a bit too basic for us.

"Works great, but this software is definitly flawed."
Pros: This software does what it says. Hides the actual I.P address and replaces with a random I.P. address.
Cons: When I went to "unhide" and reveal your my real I.P. address it somehow didn't work! I then uninstalled the software and still no luck. So now I'm stuck with a fake french I.P. address and all my pages come up in french! Few days later my Internet Explorer stopped working. Oddly Firefox still worked so I emailed Ninja Surfing's support and next day my inbox gets stuffed with 100 junk emails from Ninja Surfing! Out of all 100 only the first one was a reply from their support team with a solution so that helped calm things down.
If your thinking about a software that hides your I.P address then definitely look elsewhere.
