Publisher's description
From Crystal Art Software :NewsLeecher is a Usenet downloading (leeching) application. It downloads movies, pictures, MP3 files, and software applications, and uses it's inline engine to assemble and decode all the downloads. NewsLeecher takes the best features from NewsBinPro, NewsPro, BNR, GrabIt, and other popular newsreaders and mix them together. As the originator to the NZB format, NewsLeecher has a full support for downloading via NZB files. With the built-in Super Search engine, you can search all the binary Usenet groups at once, for a specific keyword or keystring. NewsLeecher has advanced support for leeching from multiple servers at the same time, and an unlimited number of Usenet servers can be used to download files simultaneously. The built-in automatic multipart posts processing removes the hassle from combining binary post parts one by one. NewsLeecher detects and combine parts by itself.

Cons: It's marketed as a binary downloader but doesn't support MIME attachments. Pictures are binaries too!

"Once the best there was.. not anymore"
Pros: Easy to use interface. Excellent design and simplicity and the included Supersearch is...or was the best around.
Cons: Supersearch was certainly worth the monthly/yearly subscription. Sadly in the last few months it's had outages lasting days a week. With little to no communication from the software's developers regarding the outages has left many customers miffed.
Summary: Was once a great piece of software. The interface was easy to use and had many useful features.
All in all: Not worth paying for and certainly not compared to cheaper or even free offerings out there. Button Line, unless it miraculously recove... read more >> - See all 2 user reviews Write review
