Network Inventory Navigator allows you to easily capture and track hardware and software inventory in your organization. The hardware scan returns details ranging from general overview of installed equipment to advanced information about BIOS, processor, hard drives, and network configuration. Network Inventory Navigator's grouping and filtering features allow you to flexibly arrange inventory data so you can easily evaluate the installed hardware on your network, expediting both internal audits and upgrade planning. The software inventory produces a list of the software products installed on each machine. Software data is gathered both from the Registry and executable file headers. The File Statistic feature gives you an overview of disk usage on your network by file type, and File Find allows you to locate files anywhere on your network. The software list also displays versions and license keys, easing the implementation of software license compliance and upgrades.

When used together, the hardware and software data give an IT manager or systems administrator complete control over the hardware and software on their network. This makes time-consuming and costly manual audits unnecessary as well as easing migrations. The data collection module requires no local installation, so a single deployment can be used to audit hundreds or thousands of computers in a Windows domain. Audit data can be exported to Excel and other popular formats. Also, the results of the automated audit can be published to the intranet or Internet using the advanced Web publishing capabilities of the Network Inventory Navigator. Other advanced features include networkwide lists of installed devices, shared folders, and connected printers. Network Inventory Navigator provides an easy and flexible integration with third-party network management tools such as SMS, VNC, PC Anywhere, and others.
