Don't be deceived by this Firefox extension's unassuming user interface; it's a very capable video player.
NetVideoHunter operates via a tiny icon and counter that appear in your status bar. When you click on the icon, a window appears for viewing videos. We liked the step-by-step guide that walks you through the process--a definite plus for novice users. There is a link that's supposed to offer information on how to play FLV files, but clicking it didn't produce anything. On our first try, we visited the ever-popular YouTube. We clicked on a video and as soon as it started playing, we noticed that it was added to the counter. Clicking on NetVideoHunter's tiny icon revealed a video link where we had two choices, to play or to download. When we clicked play, the video quickly and clearly played in the same window. The download button just as quickly saved the FLV file to our selected location. When you close the browser, you will lose all of the information in the counter, so you'll need to save files in the same session you find them.
This video player worked great. The videos quickly appeared in the queue, and played or were saved without any issues. We recommend it for all users.
NetVideoHunter is a Firefox add-on (extension) that helps you to download videos and music from almost any website. Download for example from: Youtube, Facebook, GrooveShark, Metacafe, Dailymotion, Veoh, Vimeo and many more.
It detects the videos that you are watching, so after watching a few videos you can open the NetVideoHunter window to download all the videos you recently watched. Also it has a built-in video player so you can preview the video before downloading or just use it when the player on video site isn't working properly.
For YouTube videos it allows you to choose from different qualities to download when they are available.
