CNET Editors' review
Software maker Nero is known for its media tools. Nero Move It is a multimedia utility that can share, synch, and transfer image, music, and video files between more than 200 mobile devices. It also automatically converts media files into compatible types for each supported device, which greatly simplifies transferring files to several different devices. It works with cell phones, MP3 players, Apple iPhones and iPods, PDAs and Blackberries, digital cameras, and many other gizmos. It's fully optimized for Nvidia GPU video acceleration, which greatly improves performance and reduces the drain on system resources, especially for high-definition content, if you have an Nvidia graphics card.
Nero Move It has the developer's familiar look and feel, resembling a sleekly skinned media player more than a Windows application. It's clearly and logically laid out, but those unfamiliar with Nero's products can consult a comprehensive Help file if things seem too different. Like most Nero tools, it performs flawlessly, but this program really shows its abilities on systems running a recent Nvidia graphics card. Full compatibility with Nvidia's massive parallel processing and CUDA technology means that compressing an HD video to be compatible with a typical portable device's display limitations takes mere minutes instead of hours. It also makes for crisper, more detailed video playback, especially with animation.
Nero Move It is free to try for 15 days and costs $39.99. The trial version doesn't support MPEG-4 videos. It's certified for Windows XP (SP2) and Vista. It installs desktop icons without asking.

Nero Move it is also fully optimized for Nvidia GPU processing which accelerates video encoding times and a decrease in CPU usage to enable even faster file transfer time, especially HD content, for those running a Nvidia graphics card. "Nero Pain in Vain!"
Version: Nero Move It 1.5.10.0
Pros
A stable product with intuitive user interface.
Cons
Neither I nor my device need it. Hence, I am not going to pay $39.99 for it.
Summary
This software suffers from the following issues:
Redundant: The services of this software is not needed. Nokia Ovi Suite 2 and iTunes are all I need to convert and copy contents to iPod and Nokia N Series devices. They are available free of charge and perform better than this software. Why should I pay $39.99 to get nothing new?
Too bulky: The download size of this software 115 MB, which is too big for the functionality it provides. FormatFactory, a free equivalent, is only 8 MB. Nokia Ovi Suite 2 is only 90 MB but does a lot more than just converting media for a device.
Does not know my device well: This software spent a lot of time converting my music files for my Nokia N79. However, my Nokia N79 was already capable of supporting my music formats (.MP3 and WMA). There was no need to convert anything. -
"Not Windows 7 Compatible"
Version: Nero Move It 1.5.10.0
Pros
Not sure because it won't work on my PC
Cons
It is not compatible with Windows 7. I bought it at a discounted price when I purchased Nero 9. I emailed Nero and they emailed me and told me that it is not compatible with Windows 7 yet.
Summary
Needs an upgrade to be Windows 7 compatible.
