Pros
I have used several different programs. I have used Neat Image for several years for most of my projects. It is an excellent batch processor of images. Removes as much noise as you choose and sharpens well without major artifacts.
Cons
Speed for larger images. But it is still great.
Summary
I like the batch processing and its great sharpening capabilities.

The bottom line is this program is absolutely amazing at getting rid of noise in digital photographs. The ease of use.. well.. it's about as easy as it gets. You can tweak a few settings.

I hate not coming up with something here, but I honestly can't.
Summary
Ease of use, combined with getting the job done when it comes to getting rid of that nasty digital noise makes this a must have in my post processing photo lab.

Hate that noise in pictures under poor lighting conditions. This program has never failed me. In fact, when I upgraded to Vista I bought it again, I like it that much. This is a great product. Worth every penny!!!
Cons
I certainly didn't like that it wasn't compatible to Vista but couldn't do without it.
Summary
I live in a real rural part of the heartland. A lot of people work for land owners and their wages are poverty level. I provide a photography service for those with low incomes taking senior pictures and wedding pictures. I charge a fraction of what the pros do but they get all the pro effects thanks to programs like Neat Image. I will not work without it and recommend it to friends as well. What a great product!!!

It allows you to attack the noise problem from several different avenues. It provides pre-sets as well as allowing the user to play with the sliders for the best result. It gives allows for standard and advanced modes.

i can see no con's... what it does, it does well... it is an inexpensive tool..

I am a home user and just use the basics but get great results.on the few pictures that I use it on.for a photogrpher I think this would be a great help with all the controls that the program has

I loaded camera profiles but NeatImage keeps telling me I dont have any profiles. I use auto match to build a profile from the image and no matter where I put the selection box it tells me the color channels arent uniform. What a waste of time.

I cant comment on the features because the product isnt functional. I didnt get far enough with it to check out any features. I installed noise profiles for my camera from their website and NeatImage keeps telling me there are no profiles for it to use. There is AutoMatch which is supposed to build a profile directly from the image but that never works because NeatImage says R,B,G channels arent uniform. It says I can continue building a profile but it will not be accurate. I also cant open certain files with NeatImage. I didnt check but the files it wont open are 11k. It opens 5k and 6k files. There may be limitations on file size with NeatImage. Its an inexpensive program but its not even worth that. Look for better software that works.

Dramatically cleans up noise, especially in low-light shots. Saves some shots that you thought were worthless.
You can tailor for low noise, high sharpness or a combination.
Easy to use, although you need to dig into the user guide for best resultsCons
Wipes out the EXIF data, but the paying version preserves it.

If you want to make BIG prints from your favorite shots, this is what you want.
