Navy Field is a massively multi-player online game based upon actual WWII naval battles. We have created graphically engineered models of actual WWII ships, weapons, aircraft, and munitions from Germany, the United States, U.K, and Japan to use in these battles. Players are asked to construct ships, add armament combinations, and position sailors to execute specific tasks. 95 different ships and 25 different types of sailors are available to play. Version 1.212 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, and bug fixes.

Note: This is a very large (404MB) file and may take several hours to download via slow Internet connection.

"Good free downloadable game"

Pros: Interface and graphics are very nice as well as game play.

Cons: amount of credits awarded per round is too small. Tutorial on the web site is not very informative.

"Excellent game play, better price."

Pros: The game offers a huge variety of ships from the 4 biggest navies of World War II. It allows for extreme customization of your ships and crew to fit your tactics and really captures the feel of a naval battle. The learning curve is quite easy, and new players should feel welcome.

Cons: In game instructions for learning manual aim aren't very good. Some aspects are not explained well such as the classing up of sailors and what their stats mean. The engine seems like it needs more PC than it should. Overall not much to complain about.
