Previous NASCAR simulations have captured the excitement and speed of racing, but this latest entry from EA Sports is specifically designed for PC gamers with a strong knowledge of the sport. All the automobile settings, from the tire traction to the clutch dead zone, are customizable. Those of us still learning what everything does, however, can set most of the difficult manual controls to automatic. The result is an accessible racing game that's full of extra options for gearheads.
The demo lets you enter the Brickyard 400 or Banquet 400 races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway or the Kansas Speedway, respectively. From the moment you get behind the wheel, you'll notice the cars feel more realistic than in other games. They're heavier, with more momentum, and the weight of the cars will shift at different speeds on different parts of the track.
The game looks and sounds fantastic, from the colorfully accurate cars and excellent track details to the roaring engine and the shifting transmission. Playing the game without driver aids is very hard for inexperienced racers, which creates a nice, long learning curve for hard-core NASCAR fans who want to control the whole race like their real-life counterparts do.

"Awesome game for all gamers!"
Pros: Top of the line graphics! Feels like you're really in the car. As long as you have the processor power and enough RAM, the graphics will not bog down your system.

Version: NASCAR SimRacing
Pros: sound/options okay
Cons: boring as hell going around a simple oval track. steering, control aren't realistic. Also, you can't wreck the car and it fights you if you want to go in the wrong direction for fun.
I recommend TOCA Race Driver 2 any day.

"How I fixed the black screen"
Pros: Looks and drives better then EA 2004 Thunder. Closest racing game to EA's Need for Speed 2. Graphics are great!
Cons: Black sreen or code that will not load game. 1. Remove foxfire browser if you have it loaded. 2 Make sure that all your permits in your firewall are on or turn off your firewall and turn on windows firewall if using XP. Game then loads fine.

Version: NASCAR SimRacing
Pros: hmmm...sounds are ok...driving is ok I guess, but it feels alot like NR2003 racing game.
Cons: If it was suppose to be better then NR2003, why wasn't it?
Just seems like this game was rushed out the door with it's pants hanging down around it's ankles.
Better luck next time gang!
